Macromedia Flash. Just say no?

I decided not to attend the Flash Forward 2002 event. I was at the last two they had in NYC and they are fun, but I see no real reason for more of the same for a tool that I have almost no practical use for.

I've concluded that while Flash is fun, there isn't much call for it in the workforce and it wastes a lot of time. It's nice to look at the results and it can be lots of fun to use, but other softwares can do what it does much cruder and less nice but faster.

Flash simply isn't good for me it seems.
