On Stubborness

I've been dealing with a lot of stubborn people lately. This is not the normal level of stubborn that everyone encounters. This is the type of stubborn that exerts that no point is too small to argue and that any concession no matter how small is unexceptable and should be argued at length. Compromise, no matter how ridiculously small, other than on my part seems to be an absurd concept with those I've been dealing with lately.

Getting what you want is fine, but causing more damage than benefit is a concept I see happening a lot. Is anyone else dealing with an uncommon amount of resistance everywhere? Is this endemic of the times right now?
